Artist Maya Wedding Cards has created the world’s largest collection of Upanayanam Invitation Cards that offers traditional invitations for Poonal ceremony and upanayanam ceremony with complete description of the events in the function explaining the significance of it. The cards bring out traditional values for the functions making the invitation cards meaningful and grand. Upanayanam Function, commonly known in south India as “Poonal Function” (Thread Ceremony) is an important stage in a boy’s life.

The word upanayana means drawing towards one’s own self. Upanayanam signifies the ceremony whereby a boy is investiture with a sacred thread initiating him into one of the three twice-born classes (Dvija).
